I've been featured!

I'm very proud of the 3 features I have had in Lens Magazine during the last 6 months.

It all started with what has become my signature image. Magical Milford Sound.  I almost didn't take it.  I was packed up for the night and walking back to the bus when I turned around for one last look and couldn't resist.

Over the next little while I will show you my other features, but scroll down to have a look at this my first.

This image from Milford Sound is the only one Ive had printed for myself.  I got it in acrylic with bolted fixtures and it looks amazing.

That profile pic has to go!

Deb Clark photography explores Queenstown New Zealand

November 8, 2016

When people come to New Zealand looking for gorgeous scenery they should spend the first few years in the North.

This is my home and I think pretty special.  Everywhere awesome is only an hour or two driving from somewhere else awesome.  Mountains and skiing, beaches and surfing, lakes and fishing, cities and rural.  The north has it all.

It was late afternoon when we pulled out of the Wilderness NZ Auckland depot in a brand new Cruise 4 with only 100km’s on the clock, and headed to Muriwai.

We made it just in time for sunset. After a great sleep it was up in the dark to see what the sunrise would bring.  The rain came and went, the sky coloured up briefly and the rainbows came out to play.  N...

Really excited to be exploring the north eastern tip of the Coromandel.  It’s a part of this beautiful country that is close to my heart. Coro has some of the most scenic and spectacular coastline in New Zealand.

I’m starting with Kouatuna.  First stop was for one of the best ever coffees at Lukes Kitchen then it was off up the road.

Opito Bay.  An incredibly beautiful stretch of beach that looks straight out to the Mercury islands, popular with fisherman.

Just over the hill is Otama Bay.  This place is a photographers dream with a white sandy beach, sand dunes, estuary and gorgeous pools of water reflecting the trees above.  It was so good we stayed for sunset, got up at 2am to see the glactic core of the milky way and up again for sunrise.  Didn’t want to leave.

Luckily you have to go past ‘Lukes’ again on the way out so that cheered me up.  The food here is so good I have been back since for their pizza.

There are little bays everywhere on the Coromandel and we stopped at Rings...
