NISI STARTER WORKSHOP
Develop your landscape photography skills through effective use of NiSi neutral density filters.
A set of Nisi filters will be available for you to use if you dont have your own.
Learn the basics of calculating exposure settings when using neutral density filters, sunrise and/or sunset shooting, long exposure photography and night photography.
Workshops will be tailored to suit each individuals needs with subjects and techniques focussing on maximising image quality when using NiSi Filters.
Regular workshops are based in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and Auckland areas and are also available New Zealand wide.
As is always the case for landscape photographers we are weather dependant. If a workshop is not able to go ahead because of the weather an alternative date will be agreed.
LEARN HOW TO
Control the basic exposure settings (aperture, ISO, shutter speed)
Calculate exposure times correctly using neutral density filters
Use graduated filters to balance overall image exposure
Compose your image to maximise the scene
Capture sharp images during varying lighting conditions
Understand camera settings such as white balance, exposure bracketing, manual focusing and other camera settings
DSLR / Mirrorless camera and lenses (recommend a wide angle)
Neutral density filters if you have your own
Remote / cable camera shutter
Empty memory cards
Spare camera batteries
Head torch (for any night photography sessions)
Footwear suitable for beaches / rocks and general walking
Waterproof / Windproof Jacket
Waterproof camera cover
Upon confirmation of your workshop, booking arrangements will be made to confirm the date and time of any individual workshops. Locations will be chosen to suit the individual requirements of any participants. If weather causes any issues with the chosen date and time, arrangements will be made to reschedule any bookings.
