Tiritiri Matangi Island is located in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand, 3.4 km east of the Whangaparāoa Peninsula.  It is one of the countries oldest sanctuarys and much of the wildlife found here are not found on the mainland.  I had only been waiting a few short minutes when this guy turned up and started showing off.
